The fight against algae

Algae are micro-organisms that secrete organic substances that are the main food source of bacteria and fungii. There are thousands of species and a variety of shapes and appearances: green, brown, mustard, etc. They reproduce via spores that are carried in the air to the pool. Disinfectant in the pool prevents their growth for a time, but frequently the algae develop a resistance to the disinfectant used. Algae grow even faster when the weather is warm and stormy, when the bather load is high and the filtration run times are too short or the concentration of disinfectant inadequate.

 Preventive treatment

Keep the pH between 7.2 and 7.4. Make sure that filtration is adequate and treat the pool with an aglaecide at regular intervals (Puraqua - Aquapur - Puratop)

 PURAQUA, non-foaming preventive and curative algaecide

PURAQUA is dual acting:

• ALGAECIDE: curative and preventive action, PURAQUA destroys mico-algae and inhibits their growth in your pool (acts against a broad variety of algae).

• BACTERICIDE: PURAQUA kills bacteria present in the pool.

• PURAQUA does not irritate the eyes or the skin.

• Composition : contains cationic polymers.

• Highly concentrated. Does not contain Copper.

• Slight flocculent limescale sequestering action.

PURAQUA – dosing and instructions for use

Before filling the pool: Dilute 0.2 l of PURAQUA in 10 litres of water and apply the solution to the walls of the pool. Allow it to dry before laying the liner.
First treatment: pour 1.5 l of PURAQUA per 100 m3 into the pool in front of the return fitting while filtration is running. Weekly treatment : pour 0.5 l of PURAQUA per 100 m3 into the pool in front of the return fitting while filtration is running. During  stormy weather, or if the bather load is high, double the dose. Curative treatment: If algae are present, pour 2.5 l / 100 m3 into the pool and add 100 tablets of  AQUACHOC 20.
