BWT Solar System

Lower electricity bills and energy savings.

The BWT solar system consists of a kit with 1 to 7 photovoltaic panels, microinverters, and a communicating gateway box. By converting sunlight into electricity, each photovoltaic panel efficiently powers the pool heat pump, providing up to 90% of the needed energy (depending on the number of panels, exposure, and location). The remaining energy consumption is supplied by the traditional electricity grid.

The onboard energy management system of the Gateway enhances the self-consumption rate: the heat pump activates, transforms solar energy into heat, and warms the pool water. Once the pool water reaches 28°C, any excess energy is used to power other equipment in the pool house and even in the main house!
Nothing is wasted!

Your benefits

Our BWT solar system can generate up to 90% of the energy needed to run the swimming pool heat pump. Once the desired temperature is reached, the generated energy powers other equipment within the filter system, contributing to our global renewable approach.

Performance

High-efficiency solar cells capture and convert the entire photovoltaic yield.

Ease of installation

‘Plug & Play’ installation on any type of roof or in a garden with southern exposure. The kit connects electrically with ease - no special electrical clearance required.

Garantee

Manufactured in France, a 20-year product guarantee with an additional 5-year extension upon activation. A 25-year performance guarantee on photovoltaic yield.

Case study

Covered swimming pool of 8 m x 4 m, 1.5 m deep, in the Rhône-Alpes area, heated with a set temperature of 28°C by a swimming pool heat pump BWT FI 55, combined with 6 panels pack BWT Solar system from 15 May to 15 September is providing 100% of the electricity consumption of the heat pump AND the filtration pump during the season is provided by the production of the photovoltaic panel kit*.

*Indicative data on the annual production of the panel, according to exposure and supplier rates. BWT Pool Products is not responsible for this information.
